My Potty and I

My potty and I have become good friends lately. I WILL NEVER PAINT A BATHROOM AGAIN.

I painted our 1/2 bath that is downstairs. I must say, I think it looks very nice. BUT. It is the smallest room in our house-which should have made painting easier. BUT. It is the smallest room in our house--so it was very hard to paint.

The only new thing I bought for the room so far is the mirror. I really like that mirror. Daddy did a great job hanging it (on the 1st try!). I will be buying a new rug because it accidentally became a paint drop cloth. Oops.

So that is why my hands, clothes, hair, rug,.............. have been green and white. And here is a picture of why my potty and I have become good friends. You try fitting down there and painting.

Easter 2010

Easter was beautiful this year! It wasn't "frost bite cold" but just a little chilly.

We got C a Galatic Hereos set that he had been wanting for a very long time. K girl got a "polly-pocket-type" Princess with little plastic (seriously) clothes to change.
After they opened presents and changed, they had a egg hunt downstairs (too muddy to do it outside). Looks like the "easter bunny" laid an egg in Daddy's new chair!

Here is their "egg stash" It was a good day!

So this is a blog?

I can't believe I haven't done much blogging lately. I have been very busy. As I type I have white all over my hands and shirt. More painting. What now? You'll have to check back and see. I have one more thing for hubby to hang and then I'll take pictures. Hopefully it will get hung tonight. Plus another cool item will be delivered Wednesday. That will get blogged about after it's here. Family is coming into town Saturday to help with a big house project. Hopefully I can blog about that next week. Wow! I've hinted at 3 different posts! Tomorrow's post (Easter) isn't even counted in that! Oh dear. I hope I didn't just set myself up for failure.

Happy Anniversary to us!

It's hard to believe that we have been married for 11 years. Interesting note: We got married on Saturday, April 3--the Saturday before Easter. Sound familiar?

So let me tell you what we did to celebrate today. We went and spend A LOT of money on ----wait for it---- are you ready?----- shingles for a new roof! Yeah! Oh, sorry. Guess it's not that exciting.

Family (you know who you are) is coming in 2 weeks (side note: AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH) to help put it up. It will be fun to see them but it will be a lot of work to get done in one week. Please pray that IT DOES NOT RAIN THAT WEEK.

Back to my anniversary. Actually we did go out Thursday night to Red Lobster, with the kids. Next Saturday we are going out, with out the kids, to PF Changs. And my honey got me roses! So sweet! And he brought K girl some flowers too! So sweet! And a dart gun for C. Nice.

Children's Museum

The kids and I went to the Children's Museum again Tuesday. I love having a membership! We can go whenever we want, but Tuesday might not have been the best day to go. I forgot most of the local schools are on spring break. IT WAS PACKED! And to top it all off, there was a special unveiling of an artifact that will be part of a new exhibit that will open next year. There were actually 2 news crews there. We actually met some friends there too. (The youngest blonde boy was actually one of my regular babysitting kids. His mom has since stopped working so I have lost that babysitting job. Oh well.)

This is the first time that we have been able to go outside and see these statues. It seems live every time we have gone, it was rainy or too cold.

The current exhibit there right now is Bob the Builder. Isn't he cute? Daddy's mom is jealous, I'm sure. Rolly, Lofty, Wendy, and many others were there too.
I actually took some other pictures, but I'm sure that by now--most of you could give me a tour of my museum just from looking at all my pictures!
