The Children's Museum-again

I love that place! And I love that we have a membership and can go anytime we want. This time Daddy was able to go with us. And he took his really nice camera so we got some really nice pictures. 322 of them! I wonder what Blogger would do if I tried to download them all.

Here are the highlights.

K loves the carousel. Absolutely loves it. We went on it twice and both times her smile was this big and she clapped and waved at everyone (she's gonna be a mayor one day) and had the best time.

C was pretending to be a dinosaur and lay eggs. Silly boy.

This is the outside of the museum. Pretty impressive.

I think the effect of this picture is so cool.
Notice anything wrong with this backpack? Look at the name and then look at the picture. This was hanging in the "house" in the Egyptian exhibit. Wonder if they noticed the "FAIL."
In the Barbie exhibit, there is a number you can text the word BARBIE to and you will get a call from Barbie. K thought that was pretty cool. When I asked her what she said, "Stuff."
At the drawing board making new creations for Barbie's line of clothing.
I think what the wall says explains it all.
The current traveling exhibit right now is Polar Bears to Penguins. So K got to dress up as a penguin and slide down the ice. Did you know that a polar bear will never eat a penguin? Do you know why? Polar bears live at the North Pole and penguins live at the South Pole. Interesting.
Here they are measuring the distance from our city to the south pole. A long ways.
K was selling tickets to the train. Looks like she's in jail.
C and his "bright idea." Goofy kid.
I know this is blurry but I wanted you to see it anyways. The light kept moving and changing colors and shapes. So the kids were chasing it all over. It was kinda fun to watch them. Wish I had that much energy.
And this is my favorite picture of the day. Even though the kids aren't in it. I thought Daddy did such a good job capturing the carousel. Isn't that just so neat? Good job Daddy!

Children's Museum

This post is pictures that were to be taken at this trip but I forgot my camera. The picture trip actually took place July 14th. I know, I know. I'm A LOT late in blogging.
K girl leading singing.

C pretending. Crazy child.

One of the exhibits was Rock Stars, Cars, and Guitars. I thought this was such a pretty car. It belongs to someone famous. Not sure who.

A wall of famous guitars.

The other exhibit was Etch A Sketch. I was excited about this one but was somewhat disappointed with how small it was. They had a lot of examples of pictures and some commemorative ones as well. This was supposed to be the world's largest Etch A Sketch. To me it just looks like a bunch put together.

My cutie children posing on top of a Mayan temple.

Children's Museum

We went to the Children's Museum Thursday. I forgot my camera. Very sad. So instead of boring you with what we did and having no pictures to prove it, I told the kids that we would go again in the near future. AND MAKE SURE WE TOOK THE CAMERA. The camera now lives in my purse. So it will go everywhere with me. I'll bore you after we take our next trip.

Children's Museum

The kids and I went to the Children's Museum again Tuesday. I love having a membership! We can go whenever we want, but Tuesday might not have been the best day to go. I forgot most of the local schools are on spring break. IT WAS PACKED! And to top it all off, there was a special unveiling of an artifact that will be part of a new exhibit that will open next year. There were actually 2 news crews there. We actually met some friends there too. (The youngest blonde boy was actually one of my regular babysitting kids. His mom has since stopped working so I have lost that babysitting job. Oh well.)

This is the first time that we have been able to go outside and see these statues. It seems live every time we have gone, it was rainy or too cold.

The current exhibit there right now is Bob the Builder. Isn't he cute? Daddy's mom is jealous, I'm sure. Rolly, Lofty, Wendy, and many others were there too.
I actually took some other pictures, but I'm sure that by now--most of you could give me a tour of my museum just from looking at all my pictures!

Barbie, Snow Slide, Jedi, Egypt

What do all these have in common? These are all exhibits that are currently at our Children's Museum. I thought the Barbie exhitibit was over in February. It is. February 2011. The Snow Slide is part of the Holly Jolly Days. The only thing we missed was Santa. We walked through the Egypt exhibit before but didn't see everything. We have seen the Star Wars stuff before but there was something new this time.

They had some costumes from Star Wars that the kids could dress up in. This is C's Jedi face. Too cute! Here is our woman preacher. Just kidding.
In the store, they had the word Barbie spelled out with--Barbies. Kinda cute.

C and K taking a ride down the Nile on a crocodile. Isn't it huge!

C went ice fishing. And caught a fish! (Like his sports glasses? His regular glasses broke the week before-courtesy of his sister, so he had to wear these. Poor guy.)

K thought she was a princess up in her high tower, waving to her loyal subjects. She is something else.

C really liked the G.I. Joe display. He was excited because he actually has some of the ones on display.

I am not a shoes person, but these were on display in the Barbie exhibit. I think they are beautiful! So shiny! But I probably would never wear them. But aren't they so pretty!

Here the kids are pretending to be the DJs for the BArbie fashion show that is happening ont he pink (of course) runway.

And here is my fashion-esta. She was working the stage.
They had so many Barbies on display, some I recognized. It was fun to see all the different ones.

One Barbie with another. Here is K on the snow slide. I didn't go down it but it looked pretty fast.

C on the slide. I think they went down it 3 or 4 times.

I fianlly finished this post! I have been trying to finish for a very long time! I think I set it to post 3 times and had to delete it because it posted before I finished it.
We had such a good time that day. The kids were so good. And it's so much easier for me to take them by myself. They are at a great age. how fun!
