July 3

This year for July 3 we were going to meet up with C's friend KJB and his family.  Both families had signed up for a reading program through Six Flags.  At the end of the school year each child and each teacher got a free ticket to Six Flags.  Amazing deal.  But due to the cost of soccer, we opted to not go this year.  I"m hoping to make it work for next year.  But Daddy had scheduled to take off that day.  He ended up having to work a few hours in the morning.  When he got home, we decided to go to the Indiana Museum of Art's outside 100 Acre Art park.  Both museums are free, which is awesome.  There are some neat exhibits outside.  And it was such a pretty day.  We had a great time!

Such a deal I've got for you!

That's a phrase my dad always used to say.  It's been awhile since I have done any good coupon shopping.  I"m trying to get back into it.  It's hard; it takes a lot of time. But here are a few good deals that I have gotten recently.

I got 2 boxes of cereal, 2 boxes of pasta, 2 tubes of toothpaste, 1 bottle of propel,
and one Bear Naked granola bar for $3.96

I got 2 boxes of cereal, 4 bananas, and a pint of blueberries for $1.46

This was not a true coupon deal but.......  I buy a box of Propel mix sticks every week for Daddy.  One of the last boxes we bought, 4-5 of them were hard--like they had gotten wet and caked up.  Well that is very hard to mix into a bottle of water. So I called Propel.  I got 2/$4 coupons in the mail as replacements.  They only cost $1.98 each.  WalMart's policy is to allow the entire cost of the coupon to go through.  It became a huge money maker!

Misc.

C left me this sweet little note IN THE DUST when he went to Jr camp.

We had such an awesome time watching the World Cup this year.
So sad that it only happens every 4 years.

Crazy kid still makes a mess when he licks the beaters.

Not quite sure how to caption this one.

C's soccer team had a fundraiser at City BBQ.  He made a whole $18!!!
(what a waste of time!)

Our summer has been so crazy!  This was in June!

I planted yellow and green squash for the first time this year.
I had no idea how big the plants get!
And they have huge yellow flowers that are only open in the morning.
