Easter Sunday

We had a very cold but beautiful Easter Sunday this year. I was so excited to get my kids dressed for church. I thought they looked so nice (smooth as C says). I found C's shirt on sale quite a few weeks ago and we found the tie last week when we went shopping. I actually can't remember where we got K's dress (sad, isn't it?) but we got the sweater last week when we went shopping. I really wanted her to have a little white sweater (she needed it) but didn't want to pay a lot of money. Daddy found it at Sears for $10. Good job, Daddy! What a bargain hunter. Daddy just had a new shirt; we couldn't find a new tie to match, so he wore one he already had. And here is the debut of my hot pink Easter ensemble. I love the hot pink! My entire outfit (except for what you can't see) was new. I even had on a new necklace. I felt pretty (is it bad to say that?) I think we all looked very nice.

Spring!

So here is a picture to prove that spring is so NOT here! This was just last week. This is NOT why I moved to Indiana. It has been cold and rainy ever since. I am convinced that we will never see spring this year. And yes, that is snow.

Daffodils

My sweet husband got me flowers for our anniversary. He got me daffodils, which he informed me, is the flower for a 10 year anniversary. I'm getting spoiled and am getting used to having flowers around. He might have to keep it up. Of course, K girl wanted some and so I have to share my flowers with her. They are really pretty and smell really good too! Thanks Honey!

PS: For those of you wondering, we are going out next week to celebrate. P.F. Changs and a movie

Glove plants

Remember from the Children's Museum post I told you about planting seeds in plastic gloves? I wasn't too sure how they would do. One "hand" did OK (2 seeds are growing) and the other "hand" only has one growing. But I think it's kinda cool to see. (I think I'm the only one interested)

Here are pictures from the Museum, while the kids were getting the gloves all ready.

And here they are hanging in my kitchen window, making beautiful curtains.

And here is the most recent pictures, showing the growth of the plants.

I probably won't keep them in my window much longer. I think we have proved that they can grow. And besides, I don't think anyone else cares.
