I hate allergies!

My allergies have been so bad this year. Every year I have issues but it's been a long time since they have been this bad. Daddy heard the other day that a high pollen count is 12. Ours here in Indiana was 11. My cousin who lives in Atlanta said her formerly white car was recently yellow.

As I looked out our front door last week, I figured out why my allergies were so bad. We have such a pretty tree in our front yard. It flowered at the beginning of spring and then did this......................

As the wind blew, the pretty little flowers full of pollen blew to the ground looking like snow! This picture doesn't do it justice. I tried to get a picture as it was blowing down but it didn't run out at all.

I've been taking non-drowsy 24 hour Claritin--helps some but not til late afternoon. I then take Benadryl before bed every night. Helps til about 5 am when it wears off and my nose starts running. Today I bought maximum strength Benadryl to take tonight. We shall see if that helps any better.

Spring is so pretty and I was so ready for spring this year, BUT I'll be glad when this is all past.

Beautiful!

I meant to post this while ago but forgot. I was "cleaning" up my camera and found it. The picture doesn't do it justice. The trees had ice on them so they almost shimmered. And that's white fog in the picture. I've never seen fog quite like that. It's so pretty, but I am so ready for spring! I heard birds chirping today. That's a start!

Spring!

So here is a picture to prove that spring is so NOT here! This was just last week. This is NOT why I moved to Indiana. It has been cold and rainy ever since. I am convinced that we will never see spring this year. And yes, that is snow.

Honk, Honk!

This is the scene behind my house right now. I love to see all the Canadian geese when they start coming north again. It usually means spring is coming. Since we are to have snow flurries tomorrow, we will see. I've been told that these geese are mean if you get to close, but I love to watch them and hear their honking. I especially like to see the babies when they come to swim. Sometimes they walk right down our fence line. If I am lucky enough this year, I will try to get a picture. They are really funny to watch when they are fighting too. I think that's what's going on in this picture with some of them.
