Hello Kitty!

Tonight we had a small party for K girl. She/I picked Hello Kitty for her "what kind of party is it?" I think Kitty is so cute! And she is making a comeback from when I was younger.

Aunt T made the cake and out did herself-again. It looked like work of art!

Even though only a few people showed up, K girl still got some really nice gifts. She got a really nice puzzle and book, a porcelin tea set (declared her favorite), a "sew a kitty kit," Hello Kitty bubble blower (I'm excited about this; I hate bubbles), a Princess Tiana Barbie doll, 2 mini puzzles (that rang up at Target for $0.29 for both of them!), new ear rings, 2 new books, a pack of book marks (that girl loves her book marks), a new belt, and a new water bottle.
Funny side story (I always have a side story): A few weeks ago we checked out the movie A Little Princess with Shirley Temple. K loved that movie. She was sad when we had to turn it back in. I had the bright idea to buy it for her for her birthday. I wrapped it early this morning. This afternoon K was picking out a movie to watch and we found that I already owned that movie. Totally forgot. So there goes one of her presents. Oh well. She was happy.

The next picture is kinda disturbing, but kinda funny. Here is Hello Kitty after we ate some of her. She was yummy!

Misc baseball pictures

Actually this is what K did during baseball games: took pictures of her rock collection.

And this is C's slider or maybe split ball or is it his fast ball? Not too sure.

TS3

July 2 Daddy got off work at noon and we went to lunch. After lunch, we went to see Toy Story 3. I think I was more excited than the kids. (There was a Facebook application that you could join "move over kids; I've been waiting for Toy Story 3 since before you were born." Kinda funny.) We decided to splurge and see it in 3D. Very expensive but so worth it! I had heard mixed reviews on the movie. I heard it was good but intense. And that is a good description.

A little about the plot: Andy is going away to college. He has to decide what to do with his toys. He decides to keep them but they accidentally get put out for the trash. Through this and that, they end up at a Daycare run by a mean old bear (Sir Hugs O'Lot or something like that). To escape they go out with the trash and end up at the dump about to go in the incinerator. And thus the intense part: the toys trying to escape the fire. I'm sure the 3D made it seem a little worse than it will seem on our TV. But in the end, I love how it ends. All the toys end up with a new owner who loves them all.
I loved it. I'm pretty sure the kids liked it too. We will be buying it when it comes out.

That's a wrap

This post is dedicated to C's last season of Pee Wee baseball. It's hard to believe he played 3 years! And boy did he get good. Well, better. He was always pretty good at baseball. I honestly can't tell you if he had a winning or losing season (I think it might have been even???) The last few games were cancelled due to weather and never got rescheduled.

I have 2 main points to this post.

Number 1: May 24th the Yankees played the Giants. Insignificantly, they won 28-12. Significantly, C got the game ball! First of all, kudos to the coach for doing such a thing. Any kid that got it was more than excited. But C earned it at that game for making a diving catch on a pop fly and for throwing someone out at first base. Sadly, I did not see the catch and only caught the tail end of the out at first (Potty breaks cannot be scheduled for a 4 year old; they must be NOW!)
Number 2: After the season was over, all the teams were invited to the water park for a pool party (just like last year). This year it was on a Saturday which made it so much easier. The kids always have so much fun but there are always a bazillion people there! I did not get any pictures at that pool party. Later that week, Coach had a pool party for just the Yankees team. They had pizza and then the kids swam (actually Daddy and I did too). After all the swimming, Coach passed out trophies and then the kids signed each others game balls. So sad that his Pee Wee baseball time is over, but excited about what the Rookie league will bring.

My 4 year old

Here is a play by play of K's day yesterday.
Let's start at 3:45 am. I heard the famous "mom!" At that time of day--uh morning, you jump and run. She had peed her bed (she is doing so good at wearing panties at night but at least once a week still has an accident) By the time I got in there, she had already changed; I just had to change her bed. While I was changing her bed, I must have mumbled something about Daddy because next thing I knew she was in talking to Daddy. She took her woobie and asked him if it had gotten wet. After he said no, she said "OK. I need to get back to my bed now so my birthday can get here." Because of her early morning issue, I assumed she would sleep later. Nope. 8am she comes in and proclaims "Here's the birthday girl!"

For breakfast she picked to have Dunkin Donuts. So she and Daddy went and got donuts (just like C and I go get them for his birthday).

Before we actually got to eat, K got to open presents. Priorities ya know. She got a new puzzle (that girl loves her puzzles), a color wonder book/markers, Hello Kitty play dough (for school), some new pencils (cuz we don't have enough ya know), some barrettes, Hello Kitty band aids, Cooking Mama for the Wii, some Crayola colored pencils with a pencil sharpener (which she has named as her favorite present), some stickers, and $30.

Since Daddy took the day off, he got to go to her tumbling class. I think that was one of her favorite things of the whole day. (I have a whole post, with video, of her tumbling class coming up. You will just have to wait until then)

After tumbling we went to Wal Mart. I did grocery shopping (without kids!) and Daddy took the kids to the toy aisles and let K spend her money. But she cried cuz she couldn't get EVERYTHING she wanted. Oh the heartbreak. She ended up with 4 pairs of Princess dress up shoes, a Princess microphone, 2 new puzzles, and a doggie (that was technically C's present to her).

After Wal Mart we went to lunch. K had picked 5 Guys Burgers--not because she likes their food (every time we go I take a lunchable for her). She likes the peanuts that they have--all you can eat while you wait for your food. That's all she wanted.

After lunch, we went home to unpack groceries, get birthday phone calls, and try on/play with all the new stuff. It was a nice lazy kind of afternoon. For dinner that night we went to Olive Garden. K's pick there was the tomatoes and croutons off the salad, some breadstick, and half of her spaghetti.

Side note: Then we ran to Target to get C some new dress shoes. Turns out he was wearing 2 sizes too small. No wonder he complained every Sunday morning. Poor guy.

Then home for birthday cookie and "make sure you sing to me Mommy."
