This year for K's 5th birthday, she was able to invite some friends to her party. It started out as a tea party then became a tea party/manis&pedis. Then we added "make jewlery" to all that. At first I wasn't sure how many girls were going to be able to come. In the end, 5 little girls came, which was a nice number. The invitation asked that each girl come dressed up too, so we had 6 very nicely dressed little girls getting nails painted, making bracelets, and drinking out of nice glass tea cups. It was so much fun!

I made a "spa corner" for the girls to get their nails done. Aunt T and Meg (a good friend) came to do the painting. Each girl got to pick what color they wanted and then they got to pick out a polish to take home.

I even talked C into being the "butler" and opening the door for the girls as they came in. He was such a good sport and did a great job.

Here are the goodie bags that each girl got to take home. It had a nail file, a crown, a silly band, a squinky, some Godiva chocolate, and then the polish that they chose. K chose the purple; no shock there. (the scroll laying in front was the invitation)

Here is one little girl coming in with her puppy all dressed up too!

And of course Aunt T made the cake and did such a good job! I love her cakes!
I made some "fancier" food for snacks. The vegies were arranged to look like flowers, cheese cut out to look like flowers on top of crackers, fruit in a baggie to look like a butterfly, and fruit roll ups to look like sushi. Fun!

K got some nice presents too. She got: glow in the dark-make your own shapes-sidewalk chalk,
a new puzzle, a new purse (with $2 hidden inside), a new game for her "kindle", a Hello Kitty watch, a bath Barbie, a new book, a new umbrella, and new sunglasses with a really nice case. Plus some money, that she has already spent.

I think she had a good time. I know all the girls did. I think their favorite part was making the jewlery (I forgot a pictre of that). I know I had fun planning it all.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, K GIRL!
