It's all poop

So here is another story, courtesy of my K girl. And yes, it's about poop. So if you think you will be grossed out, stop reading. Sunday afternoon, everyone was peacefully taking a nap. It was about time to get K up, so I went to check on her. The moment I opened up her door, I smelled it. She had pooped. I went over to her crib to put the side down to get her out. As soon as I touched the rail, I jerked my hand back. It was smeared w/ poop. I said "Yuck!" K said, "There's more over there Mommy." (on the other side). She also had it on herself, her clothes, her stuffed animals, her sheets, her covers. And it stunk!

So in the tub she went. Into the wash machine went just about everything else. While she was in the tub, I cleaned her crib with Lysol wipes. After she got out of the tub, she got spanked. When I asked her "Why?" She said she was just checking it and it was bugging her. I told her that she should have just called me and I would have changed her! She will put me in the loony bin!

So I guess I need to try the potty training thing again. I just don't know how to go about it with her. She is so different from C; I don't think the approach I used for him will work for her. Also, we have revival this week. Probably not a good week to start trying again. Wish me luck!

C's baseball game

C had his first official baseball game Saturday. Thursday they played a scrimmage game to get them used to a game. Anyway. On to Saturday.

C's game was at 1 which meant he needed to be there about 12:30. Daddy had practice from 12-2. So we went to his practice for 30 minutes then on to C's game. To back up to Saturday morning, C had practice for a church program Saturday morning from 9:30-11 (another post). So it was a rushed Saturday. Oh and Daddy forgot the camera for C's game, so after Daddy's practice I dropped C and Daddy off at the game and ran home to get the camera.

Because I was late I missed C's only hit. He got a double! He struck out on his other 2 times to bat. We are trying to tape all his "up to bats" like last year. Hopefully Daddy can make/finish another "Sports Center Update" of C's games.

They did end up winning their game, I think the score was 16-6 or something like that. He was happy that they won.

Daddy ended up coaching 1st base which meant I was videotaping which meant I didn't get any pictures. The pictures below are from his scrimmage game Thursday night.

After the game we stopped at DQ for a very late lunch of hot dogs, chips, and a Dilly bar. (I got Daddy and K an ice cream sandwich, thinking that would be easier for her. But didn't know that Daddy wanted a Dilly bar. Oh well. Sorry Daddy. Next time)

After a K's nap, the kids played outside and we grilled dinner. It was a fun, but busy day.
C up to bat (he was #4 last year; this year he is #8).

C on 1st.

I'll have to get a close up picture of him in his sports glasses. Poor guy; but he looks so cute!

Children's Museum-again

Since we bought a family year's membership to the Children's Museum, I am bound and determined to make good use of it. I took the kiddies yesterday, by myself. I was more worried about getting lost than anything else. But Maggie (our GPS) did very good in getting us there and back.

We had fun, even though we were only there for a few hours. The first thing we did was ride the carousel. We did ride again later-two more times for a total of 3! K loves the carousel!

Then we went back and checked out the Legos again. We actually weren't in there as long as last time.
Next was the new Star Wars exhibit. I was really disappointed. There wasn't much to look at. We looked maybe 10 minutes. Most was "info" on who wore this and how they made that and whose idea was such and such. Not stuff C would care about. There was a wall mural of some characters that was cool. And there was a display of different weapons that C liked. Otherwise, it was a let down.

So we went on to other stuff: the Health House where my kids actually pretended to wash dishes. I took a picture because that may be the only time I ever see that.
After the museum, we went to Stake and Shake for lunch. The kids ate really good so we got shakes for them to work on in the car on the way home (I didn't want K to fall asleep before we got home).

We had a great time; just wished that Daddy could come with us every time.

K's bookshelf

Ever since C got his new bookshelf, K has asked for one. She didn't really need one right now; she doesn't have that many books. But I went ahead and got her one yesterday. I put it together last night while Daddy was gone and the kids were watching Lion King. It's very easy to put together, right Daddy? Anyway. After it was put in her room, I let her put her stuff on it. I left to go do other stuff. When I got back, here is what I saw.
She definitely filled her dresser up. There are a few books on there. Can you see them? I thought it was kinda cute what she had done. She's my organizer.

My new phone

So Daddy has been bugging me about my cell phone for quite sometime. It was kind of a pain. It wouldn't ring sometimes; it wouldn't hold a charge--sometimes. In a word: fickle. So as part of my anniversary present I got a new phone. (I kept my old number, for those of you wondering.) We just use a pay as you go service, so it's not an extravagant phone (no email or pix) but---hold on, wait for it----it's PINK! Now I have to put all my contacts in it. I wish you could "beam" the info from the old phone to the new. Oh well. I'm getting there. Slowly.
