Daddy's birthday

Today is Daddy's birthday. He is now older than me because I have declared that I will be 29 until C turns 29---then it's kinda weird. Poor Daddy has to work a very long and busy day today. We will only get to see him for lunch (I think we are going to Qdoba). He won't be home until after the kiddies are in bed. So we are celebrating on Friday. We are taking him out for dinner then. We have one present for him today and hopefully (if I can think of something) I will have one for him on Friday. All that to say--Happy Birthday to my wonderful hubby! I love you!

K-"isms"

Here are more funny things that my daughter has said recently.

1. The other day while she was in the bath tub she started singing "Happy Birthday to the potty!" Daddy thought it was hilarious.

2. Friday night at C's baseball practice she was playing around on my chair. I told her not to tip it. She said "I'm not trying to tip it; I'm trying to break it."

3. We played outside Friday before C's practice. K stood on one of our mounds of dirt and said "I'm the king of the midgets!"

4. On our way home from pizza Friday night, K talked constantly. At one point she stopped and said "I talk a lot." Bingo!

5. Oh by the way, we have a new person living in our house with us. He can fit in a pocket, is potty trained sometimes (usually when K tries to explain why she's been playing in the bathroom), he can be carried in K's hand, we can leave him in the car when we go shopping. His name is Daniel and he is K's imaginary friend. He goes everywhere with us.

Misc.

Here are a few Misc. pictures from Easter weekend. K was pretending to sleep, but I thought it was such a cute picture. Friends-at least for now.
Everyone got new sunglasses except me; so I took the picture.
These are the new sunglasses that I got for Daddy for our anniversary. Doesn't he look smooth?

Easter presents

We usually get Easter presents for the kids every year. I spent a little more than normal this year, but I had in mind specifically what I wanted to get them. Each one got a new beach towel, a new book and a toy. C got a new Lego set which he put together with very little help from Daddy. And K got a puppy (Cocoa) to go with her over-sized Polly Pocket. Cocoa even comes with a dress and a hat (seriously?)!

Easter Egg Hunt

We have never done an Easter egg hunt with the kids. For some reason, this year I wanted to do one. Daddy and I filled the eggs one night last week: candy (Reese's Eggs), mints, money, and a cheap toy. We actually did the hunt Saturday afternoon; it was just easier due to church the next day. I went out to the backyard and hid the eggs while the kids ate lunch. Boy they ate fast! It was a little chilly, but they had fun running around looking for the eggs. K was to find the purple and pink eggs and C was to find the blue and yellow ones. After all 22 were found, we came back inside and they looked in each one. The cheap toy that C got was a small (very cheap) Connect Four. He loves that game! He has asked to play a zillion times since! Daddy wants me to just go get the real game. I think they had fun. I know I did. Hopefully we can keep up the tradition next year.
