Naval Aviation Museum

While we were in P'cola for my dad's funeral, we took a day for a field trip. we went to the National Museum of Naval Aviation. I have always loved going out there. It has grown over the years and especially since we were there last.

C's birthday party

C's birthday party theme this year was soccer. Aunt T made him a cute soccer ball cake. She and the 3 kids were the only ones able to come, but after everyone left C said "That was the best party!" Well good; I'm glad he had fun.

Still hard to believe he's 8.

C's actual birthday

I can't believe that I never blogged about C's actual birthday. Oh I'm so far behind. But here goes.

Of course for breakfast, he picked DD. Yummo. Lunch was Arby's. (Daddy has a cool picture of the French Fries from Arby's on his phone. Ahem.) Dinner was O'Charley's.

He got a Santa cookie again this year. Those things are so yummy! I'm glad he likes them too.
My mom got him this really cool NFL sticker book. It collects stickers that look like trading cards. He and my mom have traded stickers and bought about 16 packs between them.

This was the one thing he really really wanted this year. Madden 2011 for the PlayStation. I think it ended up being his favorite present for Christmas or birthday.

I can't believe my bubby is 8!

C's basketball

C is playing UpWard Basketball this year. He has never played basketball before so it is definitely a learning curve. But I can see improvement. In him and his whole team. It's fun to watch. They have won 3 and lost 2. I think he has made 1 point.

Their jerseys are reversible. Kinda nifty idea.

Two action shots for ya. I think this was his one point.

He does this well during the game.

This was a good shot of the team. Only problem, one kid messed up the line. Oh wait. That's my kid.

So True

Here is a conversation that I had with K girl at C's basketball practice the other night.

Me: Did you know you are pretty?
Her: Yes.
Me: How?
Her: You've telled me 101 times.

Me: Did you know I'm proud of you?
Her: Yes.
Me: How?
Her: You've telled me 101 times.

Me: Did you know you are my favorite girl?
Her: Yes.
Me: How?
Her: You've telled me 101 times.

Me: Did you know you are special?
Her: Yes.
Me: How?
Her: Because God made me and He loves me very much!

Oh that girl! She can be so smart!
