I miss my Kalei girl!

It's not easier; just different.

The other day I commented to C, "I'm tired of the same pictures of Kalei."  I know that's a "ummmm" moment.  I know I won't get any new pictures of her.  But that was just my thought.  I miss this girl!

The new flowers we took her.  Hot pink flowers with a purple butterfly.

Jr Camp

This is C's last year for Jr Camp.  This year they actually went to a new camp site.  This place looked really cool.  They had this huge water slide down a big hill.  Looked like fun!  C's camera is still at Walmart getting developed (I wonder how much longer we will be able to use film and get it developed?) so I don't have many pictures of his time there.  This is about all I have:

Every year, C gets his picture taken with a pastor from another Indiana church.
He's such  nice pastor; really likes C.
Notice the photo-bomb.

He's home!

Run for Ronald

I think every year since Kalei died, Daddy has run the Run for Ronald 5K.  It's to raise money for the Ronald McDonald house at Riley hospital.  Daddy and I stayed there part of one night when K was in the hospital.  This year, C and I decided to run it too.  I can run one mile without stopping---if I try really, really hard (or if it's inside; it's so much easier on a treadmill)

We had beautiful weather.  Not too hot.  Not cold.  Sunny.  Daddy ran ahead of us and got one of his best times for a 5K.  C&I started out running towards the back.  We ran about half a mile before we both needed a break.  From then on, we ran then walked every quarter mile or so.  We finished in under 45 minutes.  That was my goal. We had a good time.  Hard, but fun.  I'd like to do more, but I hate running.  Therein lies the dilemma.

Cincinnati Teen Trip

The Friday of Day Camp, we went with the teens from our church to Cincy for a "road trip"  This consisted of a 2 hour drive to Cincy which included a bathroom break WAAAAYYY before I would have stopped, a Reds game, and a painfully long trip home (for me and C anyways; Daddy was upfront talking to the youth pastor).  Our seats were 3 rows from the back, all the way at the top, and above the score board. Oh well.  It was still fun (except for that road trip home).

Day Camp

This is the last year that C will be able to go to Day Camp at Uncle J's church.  Actually E was a "helper" this year since he is going into 7th grade!  Hard to believe.  I was transportation to and from on Monday and Tuesday.  Aunt T did transportation Wednesday and Thursday.  C did not go Friday; see next post.

On one of our trips, C was goofing around with my phone and taking all kinds of crazy pictures.

Since he didn't have one of himself, I'll share one I took.
 Can you say "blackmail?"
