I miss this girl!

I never thought we would make it to one year.  But we did.  We made it.  There are still very hard days.  Very dark moments.  But there are days that I don't fell like the grief is drowning me.  It's still tickling my toes, but not overwhelming.

But oh how I miss her.  I miss her smile.  Her laugh.  Her hair. Her eyes.  The freckle on her hand.  Her slimy thumb.  Her spunky personality.  Her one-liners.  Her snuggly-ness.  I even miss her attitude and her naughtiness and her moodiness.  She was my Kalei girl.

We love you and we miss you, Kalei girl!

The Graduator

The week of Memorial Day, we went to NY to visit Daddy's family.  We had a niece graduating from high school.  It was so nice to go home when the weather was nice, i.e. no snow!  It was rainy and a little cool at time but better than yucky brown snow.  We had a good, relaxing time.  We got to eat at the best hot dog place in the world:  Hoffman's, swim, read, play cards, play laser tag (AWESOME!), walk around the homeschool conference (I've never been to an actual conference like that), talk to the ABB reps (I graduated from HS with both of them and we went to college with them; we go WAY back), see B graduate, eat Krispy Kreme on the way back to IN...........  It was a good time.

The Graduator.  Somehow C came up with that name and it stuck.

I just think this is such a cute balloon

Funny pix.  I think that's Papa Ed back there.

Yes she even arranged the confetti.

She's dangerous with a knife

All the parents march in first.  Then the graduates.

While we wait there is a slide show of each graduate.  This is the Graduator with Kalei girl.

Each graduate gets a rose to give to their Mother.
