Our summer

A typical summer would be time spent at the pool, working in my garden, basking in the sun.

Not so much this summer.  July 3 it was 59 degrees.  July 28 we were still wearing light coats.  And wearing warm pjs on Labor Day.  But C&I did manage to get one day at the aquatic center.  And I did get some stuff from my garden.  Not as much as usual; and not as much as I would've liked.  So then the week before we went to P'cola, it got HOT.  Like 90's hot.  For a few days.  Once we got back from P'cola, the temp dropped again.  Crazy weather.  I'm not quite sure what that means for winter.

More littles!

I love being able to watch other people's littles.  I get some lovin' but get to give them back at the end of the day!  Win-win!  I love these girls.  They are always quick to give me little girl hugs, since I don't get them any more.  Such sweet girls.

C used all these boxes to do a human version of Angry Birds.  The kids had so much fun!

Kalei's day

This year we celebrated Kalei by "Going Ape"  It is an awesome zip line and tree top adventure.  We had a great time.  Ready to go back!

After our adventure, we walked around the National Park where the Go Ape is located.  It was a beautiful day!

Hummingbirds are really fun to watch.

We saw a deer and a baby fawn REALLY up close.

We also got flowers to put down front at church.  This is the second year we have done this.  I think this year's flowers turned out better than last year's.  And they cost less.  Score!

Daddy's mom bought this for our Kalei garden.  It's so pretty in the garden.
