And last but not least

And this will be the last of my catch up posts before a few major posts about vacation.  Hold on tight!  This will be fast!

Baseball. Sand Gnats.  Didn't win many games, but had a good time.

This crazy girl graduated from kindergarten.

This guy got married.  So nice to see friends we hadn't seen in a long time.

Discovered this girl can sleep anywhere (this is the hallway at church)

Assembled more Dei Gratia bags.  These go to our local VA hospital.  Love the black and the wooden crosses.

Catch up post #2

For 4th grade, C had to do an Indiana State Notebook.  Daddy took a few days off work to go downtown with us and take some pictures.  What a fun day!

The homeschool group we were a part of went to one of our local TV stations.  The kids were fascinated by the green screen.  It's harder than it looks!

For AWANA this year, the boys had a contest to see who could say the most sections in a certain time frame.  The grand prizes were signed basketballs--one by the Indiana Pacers and the other by Butler BullDogs head coach.  C wanted that Butler ball so bad.  He worked really hard and got it!

This year we bought a tiller and my garden got planted in style!  I've planted spinach and lettuce which are doing wonderful!  My asparagus and strawberries from last year did awesome too!  I planted onions and garlic twice and -- nothing.  Not sure why.  I've had them in the past and they did just fine.  I also planted pepper plants and tomato plants.  I've already gotten one pepper (I actually think it was a fluke; it came off the puniest plant).  My tomato plants have doubled in size and are starting to get flowers.  I also planted beans, three different kinds.  They are getting really big too.

The flowers in my K garden are so pretty!

Testing, testing. 1, 2, 3.......

Awhile ago, my sister asked when I was going to start blogging again.  My answer "probably never."  I'm just too busy!  And life was going to get busier (I'll explain in a minute).  But then I read a blog recommended by my sister.  This lady does what she calls "Snapshot Saturdays."  And I thought, "maybe I can do something like that."  Just a quick update once a week.  So I'm going to give it a try.  But I"m not making any promises.  So here goes.

Since I last blogged (in March) we have:

.....had AWANA Olympics.  We didn't do very well but had a great time.  I love those 2 very busy weeks!

.......taught this little girl the box stomp.

.........bought a new computer (love it, but still learning!)

..............assembled many Dei Gratia bags to be delivered to area hospitals and to be sent to many people.  So glad I can be a part of this unique ministry.
............found out I'm going to be an Aunt again!  My baby brother is going to have a baby!  A boy.  And since he has no name right now, Sissy and I call him Throckmorton.  Doesn't go over too well with my brother.

.............visited The Children's Museum.  Just C and I.

He looks so old in this picture!  Stop growing up!

..............had this happen.

.............celebrated Easter.  So thankful for Easter!  Because He lives, I will see my K girl again!  I cannot wait for that day!

Lastly (for this post), I leave you with why my life just got busier.  And no, he is not mine.  This is KT. He was born April 5 to some very dear friends.  As of June 11, he and E have become my full time job.  A potty-training 2 year old, a baby who eats every 3 hours, and a 10 year old--who I will eventually be homeschooling.  Gray hair--here I come!

And just cuz she's so stinkin' cute, this is E

AWANA Quizzing

Daddy and I got to coach AWANA quizzing teams again this year.  It's always fun to help the kiddos study and then get to see the fruit of their hard work that day.  We had 11 kids making 4 teams.  I was coach of the youngest team.
These were 3rd grade girls that had never done this before.
Daddy got to coach C and his best friend from church (who is moving away; very sad times)

Can you see C and K and Daddy?  Far left on the stage.

I thought we did OK; we didn't seem to focus on it as much this year as we did last year.  Hoping that the enthusiasm that the kids had after this it was all over, will motivate them to work harder next year.

My team (3rd grade): 5th out of 8
Daddy's team (4th grade): 4th out of 6
Other girls team (5th graders): 8th out of 10
Other boys team (4th graders working on 3rd grade book): 6th out of 8
