Such a deal I've got for you.

(My dad always used to say that.)

Here are some deals that I've gotten lately. It's like a game now. It's kinda fun!

Kroger: $6.09 for everything above. And to make it even better, I had a rebate of $6.79 on a "debit card" that I was able to use. So actually, I paid nothing out of pocket.

CVS: $6.23 and I ended up getting $2 in ECBs back which I was able to use on another purchase at a later date. (So technically this all cost me only $4.23)

CVS: $1.71 I was able to use some of those ECBs from another transaction. Pluse I'm pretty sure I got some other ECBs back; but I can't remember for sure.

CVS: $10.55 This didn't turn out exactly like I planned. It wasn't as good as a deal as I thought it would be. But I did get $3 ECB back. The Dawn was $0.75. So the contact solution was $9.80 minus the $3 ECB=$6.80 for 2 which is $3.40. When you look at it that way, it's a good deal. It's just more OOP (out of pocket) than I like paying at one time.

Staples: $5.42 Here's the kicker. The price was $5.99. I had a $1 off coupon. Makes it $4.99 plus tax ($5.42) There was a rebate on this paper for $4.99. So I'll end up paying $0.42 plus a stamp for 500 sheets of paper.

Now that's what I'm talking about!

Austronaut food

When we were at the Naval Aviation Museum in February, I bought a package of astronaut food. It was an ice cream sandwich. I had been told that it was "the best of this kind of food." I will never be an astronaut; if only cuz the food is so NOT good. Interesting yes. Good no. It's free dried so kind of "rehydrates" on your tongue.

Here is K pretending to like it.

C's face tells more of the true story.

It was an experience. But I sure do feel sorry for those astronauts.

3rd grade?!

Look what came yesterday! Hard to believe that I will have a 3rd grader and a true kindergardner. They were excited to look through them. Not sure they will be that excited when it comes time to work through them. Such is life.

PS: sorry there is no picture! I can't figure out how to get it off my phone and onto here. It's too late to worry about it now. Just know it was a picture of the kids ABB books scattered all over the floor. They since have been put away very neatly so I can't even re-create the picture without making a mess. Just picture it in your brain.
PSS: (or is it PPS?) I figured it out! Actually kinda easy. So here is your picture.

AWANA Olympics

Actually now, they are called the AWANA games. But ya know......

Here is C waiting to get the bean bag from the kid coming around the circle.
And there goes the blur that is C.
Youth pastor's kid. Typical PK.
Daddy and I actually got to coach this team together this year. Not that we volunteered, but more that the director was desperate. But it was fun!
We got 2nd place!

Daddy also coached the boys T&T (formerly Pals/Pioneers) team. They got 2nd too (also?).
It's always a fun but very long day (we had to be at church by 8 am and didn't get back to church til 5 pm) Whew!

The sign says it all

One of these days, I'll get back to blogging..................

BTW: Daddy actually saw this sign at his old work. Sad.
