9-11

Today was a day to remember what happened 7 years ago. It's hard to believe that it was that long ago. I actually remembered to put my flag out and I tied a patriotic ribbon to the mailbox. It's weird to think that for my children it will be something they will learn in history class. For me, I actually lived it. I can remember exactly where I was and what I was doing. God bless America!

Along the lines of history, the little boy that comes to my house after school sometimes wanted some milk today. So I gave him a cup with Michael Jordan all over it. I asked if he knew who was on his cup. He had no idea. Once again, he will learn in history class that he was the greatest basketball player-ever! Once again, I lived it. Makes me feel old.

I was talking to a teacher today at school and she had taught a grandfather, daughter, and grandson. That's old!!

I can remember exactly where I was when the Towers fell. It was a sad day and a horrible feeling. But I'm still glad I live in America!!

Just catching up on friend's blogs . . . I can't believe Makenna was only 4 months old on 9-11. As a new mother, I was very scared, but I think it has pushed to me to teach our kids how fortunate we are and what a great country we have . . . and yes, Michael Jordan IS the best basketball player ever! I still have memorabilia from my 18th birthday when I went to a game when the Bulls played the Cavs (the only way I could see him play). Each time we go through our boxes of "stuff", I just can't part with it!
